UPDATE: Hold the phones, folks! “Team Z-Blade” has managed to pull off scheduling their first back-to-back weekend signing! That’s affirmative: less than 24 hours after leaving Universal’s signing and free Thanksgiving bird giveaway, they’re gonna jump in their Mystery Machine and head over to Gardena for more mayhem at GEOFFREY’S COMICS, on Saturday, November 21st, between 12:00 pm-2:00 pm!!! They’ve been invited to share the stage with WITCHBLADE creator David Wohl, who they’re absolutely honored and humbled by (Who are they kidding?? They’ll probably get tossed in the very back of the store like they did at D.J.’s).
But as cool as Mr. Wohl is, ‘Team Z-Blade’ is hoping for another surprise appearance… perhaps by a one CAPTAIN GREEDY!?!??!??? Are you listening, Captain??? Z-Blade XX himself will be in attendance, and he is indeed challenging you to the ULTIMATE COMIC SHOP COSTUMED POSE-OFF!!!!

On Wednesday, November 4th, 2009, between the hours of 6pm-9pm, the artist, the writer, and the two creators will team with their beloved publisher for a Manhattan Beach signing party of epic proportions!!!! The best thing about THIS signing?!?! For a lucky few, we’re gonna sneak peek the first 10 crazy-ass pages of Z-BLADE XX issue #2!! And brother, our second issue is INSANE!!!

There will be plenty first issue copies of this new Atomic Basement comic to go around, as well as free candy!! (What do you expect? We’ll only be three friggin’ days away from Halloween, people!) And of course, Z-Blade XX will be there in person… most likely demonstrating to the shop regulars how he can carve a pumpkin with his new helmet laser. Artist Guy LeMay will be selling his original artwork, as well as signed copies of his past titles from Devil’s Due Comics, Viper Comics and other Atomic Basement series. Come check it out! Remember, though, that if you get to the big bowl of candy, and all the Reese’s Cups are gone, it was most likely writer Steve J. Palmer, the ultimate bogarter of everything peanut butter.
The creative team for Atomic Basement’s Z-BLADE XX will be doing an issue #1 signing at GALAXY OF COMICS in Van Nuys, CA, on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Between the hours of 2pm-6pm, as the signing gets under way, Z-Blade XX himself will be armored up and ready to greet guests, so bring your cameras! Also, free buttons will be handed out with every issue #1 purchase and Guy LeMay’s original Atomic Basement AND Viper comics artwork will be sold at great prices!
